WHY DOES KENT CANCER TRUST NEED MONEY?

We have set ourselves the task of making a difference to Cancer Care in Kent. Research is a slow and expensive process, involving clinicians and their teams as well as scientists and their teams, often using state of the art equipment. None of these activities are cheap and the length of time that is required to ensure that new techniques and treatments actually work and are safe adds additional cost!

As we are able to show in our project work, multi disciplinary teamwork between the clinicians and the scientists does work and can deliver great success. Please take a look at some of the projects we have undertaken.

We also feel the need to expand the number of scientists able to work on cancer and to explain to everyone what we have been able to achieve and the areas where we are trying to obtain a breakthrough. These activities are also explained in the projects section of the web site.
